Abstract

Polyphenols are known for their anti-oxidant properties. When suspended on a common backbone, these properties are highly enhanced. In this study, we used several phenolic moieties, combined with bio-recognizable polyamines, to synthesize small dendrons that can be used as linkers for building larger dendrimers. The common backbones used in this study were linear di- and triamines. The products were isolated and characterized by H-NMR and IR.
