Abstract

"Design and Development of a Radial Wave Engine"

One of the fields of engineering that is constantly undergoing research is the efficiency and improvement of combustion engines. Various design factors can be manipulated to achieve better performance and efficiency. This project is aimed at designing a Radial Wave Engine. The engine has a purely radial configuration and works based on principles of both piston-engines and turbine engines. The engine consists of a radial compressor, rotating combustion chambers, and a radial cross-flow turbine. The proposed engine has several benefits in terms of reducing the space, weight, lowering engine manufacturing costs, increasing the efficiency and specific power of current gas turbine engines.
