Abstract

My theme is "The Future", which is a subject of science fiction. For the future, each of us can not predict, we can not even predict what tomorrow will be like, let alone the human society many years later. Therefore, "future" is an abstract vocabulary. It can not be predicted, but it is full of possibilities. As a child, I was full of fantasies about the future. I was also obsessed with science fiction. I often try to describe the future world by myself, through painting or writing. I want to introduce my ideas to others, so I can get more feedback: I can know what the future looks like in other people's eyes, so that I can improve my thinking. Compared with directly showing what the future world looks like, I feel that in the same picture, there are two elements, the present and the future, which are more expressive. Regarding the content of the project, I intend to focus on future people. In my mind, people in the future world have achieved to strengthen their own body through machinery, so people in the future world are semi-mechanical and semi-organic. My picture wants to express a contrast: a human being, living in the present, sees the future through a mirror. And in the mirror, he comes from the future. Background has also changed. On the one hand, we are familiar with the present society, on the other hand, it is a desolate style. I don't want to choose the popular style of science fiction. I want to express the future through another possibility: technology has developed, human beings have evolved, but the struggle has never stopped, which leads to the future world become desolate and ruined.
