Abstract Submission

Undergraduate students who wish to present their faculty-mentored research, scholarship, and creative activities at SCCUR must complete the online abstract submission form.
Abstracts are reviewed by faculty from appropriate disciplines and are accepted, returned for revision, or declined.
Students, before submitting your abstract for SCCUR 2025, it is important to consult with your faculty mentor. All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference program and on the website.
Who is eligible to submit an abstract?
- All undergraduate students from any higher education institution in the United States who have participated in faculty-guided research or creative activities.
- High school students who have participated in sustained college-level or equivalent faculty-guided research or creative activities.
- Recent graduates wishing to present their faculty-guided undergraduate research or scholarly activities.
⚠️ Instructions: Abstract title ⚠️
- Do NOT exceed 15 words.
- Accurately reflect the contents in the abstract.

Capitalize ONLY the first word, proper nouns, acronyms, and the first word after a colon in the title.
- Example: Investigating the role of CRISPR-Cas9 in plant genome editing: Advances and challenges for sustainable agriculture
- Do NOT add a period at the end.
- Avoid special characters such as &, <, >, /, and \.
- Avoid formulas that require superscript or subscript.

- Clearly outline the motivation behind the project, the specific study conducted, the general methods utilized, and the specific outcomes that will be shared.
- Do NOT include citations or references.
- Avoid special characters such as &, <, >, /, and \.
- Avoid formulas that require superscript or subscript.

- Confirm the spellings of all presenters' names and your faculty advisor's name.
- Ensure that all email addresses are correct. Use institutional email addresses whenever possible.
- Correct all typographical and grammatical errors.
- Make sure that your faculty advisor has reviewed your entire application alongside these instructions before submitting.
